Description

Patient Handling Slide Gloves are antibacterial and antifungal gloves. These are useful for positioning a patient on a slide sheet. The inside of the gloves are non-slip. Slippery silicon material is on the exterior . The carer is able to maneuver the patient easily along the slide sheet as the gloves remove the friction between the sheet and the carers hands. Transferring is a 4 stage process. Feet, buttocks, shoulders, head.

These gloves are useful as a dressing aid for arms and legs. They reduce the friction between the skin and a piece of clothing.

Slide Gloves are used in conjunction with a hoist or lifting aid which will reduce shearing as well as easing movements.

Occupational Therapists will find slide gloves ideal to control the bony areas whilst seating a patient on a cushion.
