The Novis Premium 8 is a B grade mattress system used for patients at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers. The Premium 8 has 21 individual cells that are adjustable to eight levels of alternating air pressure for optimal pressure care.
Air cells alternate in a 1 in 2 cell cycle to enhance blood flow and relieve pressure. The mattress has an initial inflation time of 30-40 minutes. Constantly inflated head cells improve comfort and minimise sleep disturbance.
A timed static mode stabilises the patient for treatment and transport and lasts for 20 minutes. The control unit features visible and audible alarms for power failure and pressure limits.
Air hose quick release connectors are easy to insert and quick to remove (for emergency deflation). During patient transport or transfer, hose ends can be snapped together to retain air in the mattress for up to 24 hours. (Timeframe dependent on patient weight and circumstances).
Static head cell pillows create a stable surface to enhance user comfort and minimise sleep disturbance.
The mattress also features a quick release CPR tag and power cord retention system for safe storage.
The digital touch panel is easy to use with enhanced instructional labelling. Cells are made of TPU coated nylon and top cover material is vapour permeable and waterproof.
Seams are welded for enhanced infection control. The mattress attaches to the base with straps and an anti-slip mat that is suitable for most hospital style beds.
The top cover material is 4 Vapour permeable and waterproof with a full length waterfall flap which keeps moisture away from the skin while helping maintain ambient skin temperature.
Multi-stretch fabric minimises friction and reduces shear. Seams are RF welded to help prevent entry of pathogens and secretions/ excretions into the mattress.
The mattress comes with a wheeled carry bag for compact product transport or storage. Separate compartments store all product components and collateral, including our easy to follow User Guide with troubleshooting.
