Description

The EHOB Waffle Heel Elevator is designed to encompass the lower limb in air and can be used in wheelchairs and day chairs, but should not be used while walking. Reactive air technology enables optimal immersion and contouring around the patient’s foot and leg, which can help safeguard bony prominences from pressure and shear. The Static Air design allows for offloading of the heel and effective protection of the foot, ankle, and lower limb. The heel is consistently offloaded, and the Air-Filled ‘Pillow’ Pad helps to keep the heel properly offloaded by comfortably floating the patient’s foot, creating a dual chamber. Clinicians can easily and effectively assess the foot through the Open Foot Gate without continuously removing or adjusting the heel protector, which saves time.

The EHOB Waffle Heel Elevator is constructed from high-grade antimicrobial TPU material with optimal envelopment and immersion properties to ensure both clinical efficacy and patient comfort. Ventilation holes are present to help distribute pressure evenly across the patient’s body surface area, providing effective ventilation and optimizing the micro-climate. These features minimise the risk of skin maceration by drawing body fluids away from the patient’s skin. LAD hand pump sold separately.
