Do you have a showroom where we can view your products?

Yes. You can visit our store at 1 Mitchell Street, Marrickville NSW 2204. Our showroom is fully stocked and is open to healthcare professionals and also the general public. Our aim is to help you find the right products and equipment for your needs for those customers who are unable to visit our showroom. Do you sell second hand equipment?

We only sell brand new, in the original packaging with a full Manufacturer’s Warranty. We sell no factory seconds or second-hand products.

Do you hire out equipment?

In general we do not hire equipment. In some instances we will hire out beds and patient lifting equipment

Can I make a purchase on your website?

Yes. You can add products to your shopping cart and make payment at the checkout.

We ship within Australia only. For certain products, we ship within the Sydney Metro area only due to the nature of the product

Which payment methods can I use to place my order?

Online, you can pay with Visa or MasterCard. You can also pay using PayPal. Offline, you can place an order over the phone and provide credit card payment. Payment for goods can also be made in our showroom at 1 Mitchell Street, Marrickville NSW 2204. Payment prior to dispatch is required for all customers unless payment terms have been established.

When will my order be processed?

Orders placed on our website are usually processed on the same working day or by the next business day.

How do I know when my order is dispatched and How can I track my order?

Once your order is ready to be shipped you will receive an email notification. The email address will be the one used to place your order. Always check your junk mail and spam folders in case the notification has landed there. The email notification will also include tracking details. If there is going to be a delay on your order, you will be contacted by our customer service team as soon as possible. They will provide an ETA for you.

Where are your products made?

We manufacture our range of Patient Handling products in China. We also exclusively import the Molift Range of Equipment which is manufactured in Europe. We also exclusively import the range of TAiQ Electric Wheelchairs and Stand Assist Products which are manufactured in Denmark. For the rest of the range of products we sell, we’re a retailer from a variety of Australian and international brands. While different brands manufacture their products in different countries, all products sold at Patient Handling are imported to our Australian warehouse before being sold to you.

Do your products come with a manufacturers warranty?

Yes, all of the products sold by Patient Handling come with a full Manufacturer’s Warranty.

What Is Your Returns Policy?

Are you a NDIS Provider?

Yes, we are a Registered Provider. Our Provider Number is 4050002681. We supply equipment which may be available from your Assistive Technology or Consumables Budget. We will always seek written approval before processing any order on your behalf. If you would like to place an order, visit our NDIS Quote Form section found at the top of our site. We will have a quote to you within one (1) working day.

Do you service and repair wheelchairs, beds and scooters?

Yes we can provide service, repair and maintenance of this equipment. We also service patient lifters and hoists as well as slings. For further information visit our Service & Repairs section .

Do you have parking at your showroom?

Parking in the area is limited however we do have parking at the front of our building.

Amputee Slings for Hoist | Buy Amputee Transfer Equipment

Amputee Hoist Slings

Amputee slings are generally suitable for those with bilateral above-knee amputations. These slings provide entire body support either up to the shoulders or above the head. Amputee slings are also available for those with one above-knee amputation.

The specially designed style of the amputee sling provides additional support for the hip and pelvic region. Amputee Slings also reduce the aperture and thereby minimise the risk of the user slipping through the sling.

This style of sling may also suit users with impaired muscle tone, hip problems. An experienced therapist will best determine suitability. The main difference between a standard and an amputee sling is the anatomical padding and cut. The opening is also more narrow to provide secure support for the user. Most designs of these slings are designed to keep the legs separate and may also feature additional straps to prevent the legs from sliding out of position.

Some slings are fitted with a non-slip waist belt to provide extra trunk support where there is reduced muscle tone or stability.
Amputee slings may be a suitable alternative where there is an increased tendency to slide out of other types of slings.

These slings are used with a patient lifter or a ceiling hoist system. This method of patient handling provides a safe and secure transfer for both the caregiver and the user. Patient Lifters and Ceiling Hoists are designed to assist the user to transfer from a seated or lying position. Transfers most commonly include from a bed, wheelchair, commode, toilet and the floor.
